In this short video, Hylton shows you a property where we took out three chimney breasts and used two Gallow brackets to support the remaining chimney.
This time, the skip was on the road, which means that we had to have a permit from the council for that.
The chimney breasts took up a fair amount of space, which the client wanted to free up. In the sitting room, she wanted the settee to go all the way to the back wall and not stick out into the room. She is now able to do that.
In one bedroom, the chimney took up around 5 to 10 percent of the space. Chimney breast removal added a lot more space to the room and allowed her to add fitted wardrobes as well.
In the third room, which was quite small, taking out the chimney breast also added enough space for fitted wardrobes.
Hylton Chimneys are specialists in chimney breast removal and structural wall removal but we also do all kinds of general building work required to complete the project. To contact us call 020 8346 2254 or complete the contact form below.
